Keynote Speaker 2008 Olympian Eric Shanteau

After being introduced by his former Auburn coach Dave Marsh, Shanteau spoke about journey from being a 10year-old age group swimmer to a 2008 Olympian. One of Eric's messages to swimmers is that it is not so important what happens as it is how you react and what you do in response. Eric shared his personal challenges, from finishing 3rd in two events in the 2004 Olympic Trials to his successful fight against cancer after making the 2008 Olympic Team, and how he reacted to use his challenges as stepping stones rather than stumbling blocks. Eric also took time to answer every question from swimmers, coaches, and parents in attendance, from how handle plateaus and the college selection process to what his hardest set was (so far) and his most embarrassing moment. Read more about Eric.

Eric's 2008 Olympic Teammate Cullen Jones was on hand to receive the NCS Willis Casey Award which is presented to the highest World Ranked NCS Swimmer. Cullen is #3 World-Ranked in the 50 FR.Eric presented the following awards and was gracious enough to allow every single NCS All-Star and NCS Top 5 recipient to have a photo-op with him receiving their award. NCHSAA State Championships Meet Results are available, click here for view for 1A/2A, 3A and 4A. Also, Meet Manager Backups are available for 1A/2A, 3A and 4A. Coaches can restore these backups in Meet Manager. To get times for your swimmers into Team Manager, create a new team in Meet Manager (yours!). For each of your athletes, change the team affiliation from the high school to your team. You can then export the results from Meet Manager for your team only and import them into Team Manager. If you want them to go in more smoothly, take the time to add the USA Swimming registration ID for each of your swimmers. Also, Region backups 3A East, 3A West, 4A East, 4A Central, and 4A West.

If you are looking for a time that you think was not uploaded from one of these meets, please see this memo (PDF) that explains the process.

Find a Time

Toyota Time Standards

USA Swimming is now collecting every time swum in a sanctioned USA Swimming meet. It is the responsibility of the Local Swim Committee (LSC) National Times Verification personnel to submit all times to the SWIMS database system.

You have the option of searching the SWIMS system by either:

Individual Event Rank This will list one swimmer's rank within the event
Individual Times This will show a swimmer all of his/her times
Event Rank This will list all swimmers ranked within an event

IMX Challenge

Are you up to the Challenge? The IMX Challenge is a motivational program whereby swimmers will be scored and ranked nationally on their performance in a combination of five or six events. The purpose of the program is to promote versatility in age group swimming while advocating greater participation and development across a range of events that are integral to long term success in swimming. Club Recognition Program

Level 4

The Club Recognition Program offers our club members a working blueprint for developing strong, stable, financially sound and athletically productive organizations.

Designed over a two year period by USA Swimming's Club Development Committee, this voluntary program presents four levels of achievement across four component areas deemed critical to long-term club success. The program encourages clubs to establish organizational goals and to benchmark their progress toward those goals. The ultimate objective of the program is to strengthen the club system in USA Swimming by guiding clubs through a development process that ultimately positions the program and its coaches to better serve athletes.

The Club Development Committee looked at many different factors that helped create "great" clubs. The committee grouped all of the factors into four major component areas:

• Business & Organizational Success
• Parent & Volunteer Development
• Coach Development & Education
• Athlete Development & Performance
